Al Clayton Construction, we did some surface repairs on interior plaster walls and ceilings and repainted them. Repaired a door that had early american hand made rod iron strapping and keeping the hardware we were able to fix the door. We hung pictures, mirrors and placques. All the plaster did not need to come down. We had to carefully remove the crumbling plaster and make the repairs. The wallpaper and the picture were from the first White House that burned down August 24, 1814 by the British. The home was built in 1776 for Governor Isaac Tichenor. Located in Bennington Vermont. It has been through many repairs in its lifetime.
